Forget Me Not is an interactive installation that provides a space for people to speak to and reflect on those they have lost to grief. Forget Me Not isn’t trying to solve anything and is certainly not about trying to solve someone’s grief!
Grief isn’t something you solve and there is certainly not a one size fits all solution. Forget Me Not is simply there as a space for those who wish to use it. Forget Me Not allows those who have experienced or are currently experiencing grief to speak to those they have lost and watch as the darkness around them fills with dozens of glowing forget me nots, a sign those they have lost are there, a sign someone is listening.
Forget Me Not aims to facilitate grief connection in a soothing and sensitive way, with perhaps even a little sense of magic. And when all has been said the connection need not stop there, connection continues out with the installation with your very own grief seed. The grief seeds allow you to plant a forget me not in memory of those you have lost and to allow yourself to grow around your grief.
